Have you Always Wanted to March in the Rose Parade?

Pasadena Celebrates 2020 hereby invites 100 people to walk in the Rose Parade® presented by Honda, behind our float that celebrates the Votes for Women Centennial. The parade is on New Year’s Day 2020. This will be the very first celebration in the 100th year of women having the right to vote. It will be 55’ long and 18’ wide with a 30’ tall Statue of Liberty on it. And is followed by 100 people dressed in white, re-enacting a traditional Suffrage Parade. This is a once in a lifetime event to celebrate women’s history and a rare chance to walk in the Rose Parade, which will be seen by over 93 million people world-wide. We hope you will join us in making the float and this Rose Parade a truly historic event.

How the Costume Works.

  • We are asking you to assemble your own costume but with some help and some guidelines. In order to present a unified look we need you to be in an all-white (white -white, not cream) outfit. It must be a long sleeved jacket and/or blouse, long skirt and some sort of white belt. We will send you a list of potential sources.
  • It will be fun to have a variety of hats, so you choose the period. Natural straw or white colors are best and all trim must be purple, gold and/or white. More details to come.
  • You will receive a purple, gold and white sash to wear. If you are representing a group, it will have the name of your group on it.
  • Lastly, each of you must submit a photo of yourself in costume by December 10th. We all want to look our best for the parade.
